About Monique Chelin
Monique Chelin is an Australian author based in Brisbane. Her picture book, Enzo Finds His Friends, began with the arrival of a small cavoodle who set about befriending every creature he met, whatever their size, shape or species. Watching him convinced her there was a story worth telling.
The book pairs watercolour illustrations by Angela Lee with gentle rhyming verse, and every page draws on something the real Enzo actually did. It is written to be read aloud, for children aged three to seven, and for the adults doing the voices.
Writing for children is the newer half of a working life spent on harder problems. Monique founded the consultancy MJC Sustainability, advises boards on ESG risk and project governance, and wrote Switch it On! Activate YourPersonal Potential before Enzo took over the house. All author profits from her books go to charity: RSPCA Australia for Enzo Finds His Friends, and Opportunity International Australia, where she has been an ambassador since2010, for Switch it On!
She also runs the What Enzo Did community on Instagram and Facebook, where Enzo’s adventures continue between books.
